Confidence is the fundamental element of every communication.

This means confidence in you as a man and confidence in your abilities and in your practice.

Every patient sooner or later in his life gets some bad experiences by some one or other Doctors. It is this which puts him always on the defensive.

He knows that it is to your interest to prescribe the treatments to him. Show him that it is equally to his interest to accept.

You are suggesting something in which you believe.

             Make him believe in you.

Thoroughly ground yourself in the kind of confidence that makes you believe in your ability as a Doctor and in the merits of the treatments or services you represent. It is very essential that you understand your practice, your patients & your offerings in detail. You cannot afford to guess or take anything for granted. Earnest, thorough work begets confidence.

You must have the confidence that you are prescribing the best treatments & services for this particular patient.

And there are no better options available.

But unless the man whom you approach has confidence in your word, in your judgment and in your integrity, all the experimenting and all the perfecting in the world will do no good to you.

Confidence in the value of your own treatments and in your own practice, treatments & services will inspire similar confidence in those to whom you seek to.

Absolute candor with your patients in every transaction, absolute fairness with your competitor in every statement, are the steel girders of a confidence in you.

Win that confidence and you win the patient.

Keep on winning confidence and you build practice.
