Opportunist . . . . . Always !
No matter what’s happening in the world, in society, in business fields - there are always SOME people who grow, who become stronger, who prosper !
I Call them Opportunists ! & not in a derogatory or insulting way, but in exactly the opposite manner with great respect.
To them, the weather doesn’t matter, stock market doesn’t matter, market conditions don't matter. All that matters is their focus on growth.
You can just look around you & observe that there was this business owner who grew his business in a pandemic - when most others in his or her field either crumbled or altogether stopped! While everyone was worrying about keeping the lights on this person was planning to hire more people & thinking of expanding.
Fact about Boom & Dull Times - Let me share an interesting fact with you.
In Boom period the aggregate increase in business volume is rarely MORE than 15%.
Similarly, In Bad times, the aggregate decrease in business volume is rarely more than 15%.
Means, 15% Change in business volume is the maximum that occurs mostly - either increased business or decreased business.
Now, if this is true, then max any business can gain or lose in any time is 15%. But that doesn’t happen in the real world.
In reality, there are few who grew their businesses in Boom Times & then there are few who closed their businesses, too. Majority of the people keep on thinking about either survival or shut down & do minimum to grow the business.
That’s why I said in all times - Good or Bad. you’ll find Opportunists.
If you are an Opportunist, in the most respectable sense, then your business will increase this year; next year & all years after that.
If you are not an Opportunist, then your business will either decrease or stay at the same level this year; next year & all years after that.
